When do you guys think Apple will decrease flash storage pricing on the iPad?

I mean it's been 3.5 years since the original iPad and prices are still the same.

I understand Apple likes their profit margins to be high, but charging $100 to go from 16GB to 32GB is insane.

I know it's been this way for a long time now, but it's just insanel

16GB -> 32GB = 16GB more for $100
32GB -> 64GB = 32GB more for $100
64GB -> 128GB = 64GB more for $100

How long can apple keep doing this when flash prices are dropping so rapidly?

They will keep doing it until everyone says enough with their pocket books!

It's insane! They could probable keep these prices for another ten years, because people like their products. But just because they can?

It sucks, but I can't see internal storage options dropping in price when you consider Apple is pushing hard for cloud storage options, even if a lot of what we would store on iPads would be personal DVD rips or other items, which makes it impossible for us to store this on Apple's servers.

I'm surprised 16GB is still an option; every since the switch to retina that is a meager amount of storage.

I've heard rumours that Apple is turning over a new leaf, and is becoming a Not For Profit company in 2014. They've decided they've won, and from now on, will only sell products at cost. So don't buy this year; wait for the iPad 6!

It's a rip off that's why I only buy 16gb. The storage amount is fine for me. Worst case scenario just delete some apps I don't use.

This comes up every time and there is not much we can do about it.

I hope that I have taught Apple a lesson this time, I ordered the ATT 128GB unit!:p

It will likely be $150 more next time.:rolleyes:

It's a total ripoff but I couldn't help myself. Went ahead and got the 128 GB version.

Anyone who buys the larger storage models has no right to complain, as you voted Yes with your wallet.

I make do just fine with 16GB. But I am also like the opposite of a hoarder. Anything in my house that I don't use I sell or give away. And with the iPad, I see it as a chance to really use what I have on the device, and swap an app for something new if I'm not using it.

You seem to be trying to convince us of your frugality and yet you are buying a iPad!:p

They will change, they moved from 8gb to 16gb and they will move from 16gb to 32gb as an entry.

I would hope next fall 32 will be entry 16gb will be last years entry model

So you will still have 16gb but only last years model as entry level.

then the new iPhone'iPad will start at 32gb
