Apple Aperture

Is there going to be a new version of Apple Aperture any time??

As I am finding Aperture lacking compare to Adobe Lightroom... Like Grad Filter and doing spot adjustments etc..

they just released an update to the current version, but as for a full version upgrade..i'm not sure

why this as opposed to light room?

Lightroom seem to have a few extra GREAT editing tools to it compare to Aperture... It a shame aperture never put these into aperture as I am sure they are simple things to add...
