Hello!

I'm sick of using generic USB cables that don't work or charge with my iPad 3rd Gen!

Is there anywhere I can get a list of Apple Approved USB cables? Or should I just go for big name brands like the Apple one, Incase, Griffin and so on?

I have never seen anything like an "approved" list. I use the one from "Amazon Basics." They are inexpensive and work on all my iOS devices.

How are those? The ones I got from amazon that seem decent cannot charge my ipad while in use, however the original USB cables charge while in use!

What's your power source for charging?

The iPad 3 is barely over the threshold for charging while in use on the supplied power adapter thing. If you're charging it off a computer's USB port then forget it.

The charging current is limited by the connector and the battery is large and in charge, as is the power drain of the screen while running.
