I dont know if its Apples' obsession over doing everything their own way, but imagine if partnered with Nintendo.. or Microsoft.. heck, even a big 3rd party studio.
The hardware capabilities are now there...

I'm glad Apple gaming is progressing albeit slowly. It would be great if they could get to AAA titles but they'd have to offer a more cost effective Apple Silicon chip with a higher end GPU.

The other thought is they could create a thunderbolt 5 eGPU using Apple silicon for people who want to upgrade their Macs to AAA ready status. Just a thought.

That being said I'm having a good time playing WoW Classic Era with my base M4 14" MBP running graphic settings at max, and getting over 100 fps without any fan noise. :)

I have faith that Apple will get there eventually.

The problem is that nobody wants to work with Apple.

They are obnoxious self aggrandizing "teammate" who wants all the credit and everyone to do everything on their terms.

I've had Arcade since the beginning. I only keep it because I have Apple One. I play a lot of games, and most of the better Arcade games are for little kids. It was good when they added some App Store titles with removed P2P, but even that has been lackluster recently.

Nintendo won't release games on competitors' devices. We got Mario Kart Tour and Super Mario Run, and that's about it. They cater to their own console. They're pretty much the opposite of what Microsoft's been doing to the Xbox lineup.

I will try the sims games but I only have arcade as it’s part of the one bundle and it would be more experience to bit the services I want separately.

They theoretically could just add driver support over TB* for eGPU and let the market deliver the GPUs, because TB* to PCIe adapters already exist for non-Apple computers. That wouldn't just be useful for games, but also for everyone who wants to offload video encoding, inference work, whatever. But I'm not sure they can even do that in the new model they have.

Even without eGPU support, the experience might be better if they added Vulkan and OpenGL compatibility. Or at least easier to port games. It's possible.

If Netflix adds new videos like Apple Arcade they would have been closed down.

Note: people working at Apple Arcade still getting their paychecks

Good to know about the additions this month. Don't like any of them. Want to see some really good quality games on Arcade.

The best game that ever appeared on Apple Arcade was Marble Knights.
