Four more games were added to Apple Arcade today, including Play-Doh World.

Exclusive to Apple Arcade, Play-Doh World lets you create digital Play-Doh characters and more.

"Whether sculpting, stretching, squishing, or squashing, kids are invited to unlock their imagination with creative activities, fun games, and rewarding interactions," part of the App Store description for the game says.

Apple's full description of the game:
Play-Doh brings its magic to the digital space with Play-Doh World, allowing players to craft their own characters and watch them spring to life. From inventing wild zoo animals to styling outrageous salon hairdos, every corner of this colorful universe responds to the player's creative whim. With dozens of interactive zones, collectible special Play-Doh, and regular content updates, Play-Doh World offers creative activities and open-ended, imagination-led play — all in a safe, ad-free environment.
The three other games added to Apple Arcade today:More details about all of the games are outlined in Apple's announcement from last month.

Apple Arcade is a subscription service that provides access to hundreds of games across the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro. All of the games are free of ads and in-app purchases. In the U.S., Apple Arcade costs $6.99 per month, and it is bundled with other Apple services in all Apple One plans.

Apple Arcade can be accessed through the App Store, and the new Apple Games app.

Does anyone actually use Apple Arcade? Never seen anyone use it. Genuinely curious.
I use it, but mainly for my kids. I was tired of all of the in-app purchases and ads in the free games they were playing, so I told them to only look for games in Apple Arcade. It makes the Apple One subscription a little more worth it.

Also, Sneaky Sasquatch is a pretty fun game.

Apple One makes sense to me, as I need to pay for storage and I need to pay for Apple Music in a family plan. So I might as well pay a little bit more and take advantage of Apple Arcade, Apple TV+, Apple News and Apple Fitness.

Disappointed. I thought after reading the title there was an arcade at the spaceship that got four new console games today. Was getting ready to book a vacation to Cupertino to play some Jungle Hunt and Asteroids.

Thinking through the games of real interest in Arcade: At one point I was interested in trying Arcade for Donut County and What the Golf... Played all of Donut County via the Arcade trial and in under 2 hours. Still haven't played What the Golf but this article is the first time I've even thought about the game in years. Balatro is available in the App Store via a 1 time purchase, so why would anyone pay a reoccurring subscription just to play it and not $10 to own it? Scrolling through the top games in Arcade right now is... not compelling... and any new title announced looks like a children's game. Was thinking Apple would start taking gaming more seriously with Arcade, but so far it's been a huge disappointment.

I can’t understand why Apple sucks at gaming. They don’t seem interested, they had everything necessary to make a good mobile gaming system (and game selection) for over 15 years now. I thought Apple Arcade was going to start a serious push, but it still pretty much stinks.

It's 100% worth the money if you have young kids and you only let them play these games without the micro-transactions in them.
That’s surely why it’s included in the Apple One family plan. It’s a nice addition when you have young children for sure. The games play great on an Apple TV too. However, I think it would be great to let people choose the services they would like in their subscription package. For instance, one could select 2TB iCloud storage or Fitness+ instead of Arcade or Music.

If Tim had any shred of decency and wasn't just a dirty money grubber, he'd put an end to all of these half-cooked services...particularly this embarrassment.

All kids under 5 are going nuts this morning,..what a momentus day for gaming on Apple devices 🙄🤦‍♂️

How is everyone complaining about baby games and not mentioning the addition of Worms? A consistently fun franchise that's been around for 30 years now.

My daughters are enjoying Playdoh and Mighty Cat. Mighty cat, Shogi, and Worms are genuinely decent games and very mobile friendly.

This service is genuinely fantastic for young kids. My daughter uses the games constantly and they’re mostly quality without ****** ads or microtransactions. And occasionally I have fun too (the better mobile games are great when you have an idle moment and properly built for phones/tablets). There’s a few solid “real games” like Katamari or Space Invaders Evo. I get more than my money’s worth.

People need to get over the whole “where’s the games?” thing. If you’re asking that question then the service isn’t for you to begin with. And that’s fine, not every gaming subscription needs to service the hardcore interest. I greatly prefer what Apple is doing here specifically for their ecosystem and families

I tried this few times. But every time they gave up because the cookie run kingdoms and Roblox games of the world were more interesting.
