What I mean is a desktop speaker set, designed by Apple and a manufacturer of high quality audio equipment. Mark Levinson (Madrigal) is a maker that just springs to mind. If I may continue my pipe dream, I see a fibre link that directly plugs into the active subwoofer that also houses two amps to drive the midrange desktop units and caters for the digital signal processing. If you utilise a fibre link, your Mac will disconnect its internal audio. This raises a few questions. Is it worth the effort? Will such a setup enhance the overall audio quality? It is something Apple would do; does it fit into current market strategies? Would you be interested in buying such equipment?
