Hi all,

I'm helping my mom get set up with a Mac, but she lives about 5 hours away from the nearest Apple store. I think she should get AppleCare, but will an authorized repair service honor that? Or is her only option to have AppleCare-covered repairs done in an Apple store?

Thank you!

If I remember right, dedicated retail stores SHOULD cover repairs with applecare.

Great - thanks for the quick replies! I think I will call the one authorized repair place in her town and check in with them to be positive. I guess I could have just done that in the first place.

Thanks again!
