AirPods Pro feature an in-ear design with three sizes of soft, flexible silicone tips included in the box, and if you happen to lose those tips, Apple now sells replacements through its online store. The replacement tips will likely also be stocked at Apple Stores, although all locations outside of Greater China remain closed.

Apple offers two sets of small, medium, or large ear tips for $7.99 each in the United States, with pricing varying in other countries.

Replacement ear tips were previously only available through Apple Support, priced at $3.95 for a single set in any size. This remains an option for customers who want to save a few dollars. Follow our step-by-step instructions.

Do these get damaged if they are swapped many times? I’ve probably changed tips less than 20 times in total and they’re as good as new.

DumbAzz question for today: What constitutes a set? I see 3 sizes with 2 pairs so my assumption is each "SET" has 3 pairs (L M & S) for $7.99 or is each "set" one size resulting in 3 sets at $7.99 each. Yeah yeah - Don't flame me, I'm old

Turns out it's Apple Pricing ie 2 sets of L OR M OR S for $7.99 each SET so if you want a complete set of L, M & S be prepared to pay ($7.99)(3) = $23.97 + Tax. (I've suddenly become religious as I exclaim: Jesus Christ Apple. WTF?

I believe it's a pair of tips at the size you pick at checkout.

They dropped the ball here by not offering larger tips.

Not everyone has the perfect, Jonny Ive-designed earhole.

You must have some huge ears...😁

Seriously though, I found the tips that were already pre-installed on the AirPods out of the box fit me perfectly. I think Apple did actually really good job providing the different sizes offered. But in reality, they can’t customize ear tips for every specific/size, I would say the majority of tips are plenty compatible provided.

What’s interesting, is the AirPod Pros fit me really well, I actually had to return them due to the uncomfortability for long-term use. But truly an excellent product.

According to the fit test, I can get a good seal with the large tips in one ear if I point the stem upward at a comical angle, and the other I can't get a good seal no matter what.

Yes, on the edges where they fit into the airpod device itself they can rip and or fold. If done right you can easily change them in and out with no issue. Granted for as long as they have been out now, you have to really pull hard and on an angle to cause serious damage. Overtime however they can wear on the edge points because of how they fit into the ear canal, just like other headphones that use similar tips. Not something I'd worry about particularly.

And for others talking about firmware updates.. yes they know about it.. sadly not sure they are doing much of anything about it currently. I've done my own testing with 3 pairs of pro's (1 I owned since day 1 release, 2 others were off the shelf in store) and after showing apple employees in person.. months ago.. they to could understand the issue with the firmware and feedback problems causing the short circuiting of the microphone. Best thing they could do was issue me a refund. Which I took from the in store employees simply because prior to that the call centers had no knowledge of any problems and refused to issue even a replacement. Went back to Gen 2 Airpods instead of the pros for now. If they ever fix the pros I'll give them another shot. Phone calls were horrible, too many snaps and pops for my liking. Never had 1 issue with Gen 2's.

Try the medium set and some calk. :-D I tried all three sizes before settling on the medium size for both ears. I still sometimes need to reseat the right one.

I'm very confused as to why you would need all three sizes. Are you a collector of classic ear tips, or do you have three sets of ears? Or are your ears just highly assymmetric (but then, if that were the case, you would only need two sets, right?) I suspect Apple designed their packaging and pricing for the usual sorts of people, who only have one pair of reasonably symmetric ears.

LOL. not sure how old you are but one of the fun things you get as you grow older is hair in your ears. In essence, and not always because of ear hair (trimmed etc) I do change my left and right ear tips from time to time ie sometimes it's comfortable with one S in one and a M in the other or whatever combo fits for that time. As for reasonably symmetrical ears? I don't have an urge to start painting something akin to "the Scream". lol

I wish they made optional foam tips. The silicone makes my ears itch + it smells like blueberries, and after a while it starts to slip out unless you clean it regularly. Too much maintenance. Foam tips would stay in better regardless of how waxy they get and the materials won't react with skin.

However, they're less durable and will tear over time so that's probably why they went with silicone instead. I don't trust 3rd party foam tips from amazon, it seems like the case doesn't close properly with them.

Also yeah, a firmware update for the Pro is sorely needed. They totally nerfed the ANC.

It’s a software issue with the fit test. I wasn’t getting a good seal, but got my airpods replaced under warranty and it works now.

I bought third party foam tips on amazon. They fit and work great. Just don't remove them often, craftsmanship is kind crappy for the plastic snaps. foam is great though. I never updated firmware, very happy with sound and ANC (except for the rude neighbors dogs, still hear them sometimes, will they just shut up already!)

can you say third party? there are plenty available

All the new AirPods are using the original firmware. Works perfectly, I have never had a problem at all. Can't speak for the failed updated firmware, never had it and don't want it

I need a large for one ear and a medium for the other. Luckily until they offer a multi-size pack, if I do lose one I've still got its mate that came in the box!

Me too, I need a large for one year and a medium for the other. So I just ordered one pair of each I’m out $16 but I have two extra complete sets. Easy.

Same here. Perfect fit in my right ear with the large tip, loosey goosey in my left ear. I wish they offered XL. My left foot is bigger than my right foot, too. What does it all mean?🤔

Thanks for the comments guys! I have the Sony’s at the moment and while they’re great, I’d like to try these.

I’ll make sure to keep the firmware on OG version so I can compare with the WF-1000WM3 and Comply True Grip Pros.

Also, I have to use the largest size of the Sony silicon tips, so maybe the AirPod Pros might not even work! Go team big ears!!
