M4 Mac Mini $499.99 on Amazon with a coupon.
Yeah, you can thank me for the sale prices, as I purchased from Apple on launch weekend and now have no interest in tempting Fate by returning it and buying it again elsewhere. Enjoy the sale!

And my 1/8/25 holiday return window means I'll be questioning myself for weeks as it goes on sale, lol.

No need to tempt fate. Place an order with Amazon and begin the return process with Apple.

I'm wondering if it is worth it to try the Airpods Pro 2 for that price. I currently own the Airpods 2 and need to replace them. I have very small ears. Even the airpods 2 hurt my ears after a while, so I'm pretty sure the Airpods 4 are not going to fit. I've heard good things about the fit of the Airpods Pro 2 with xs tips but I've had poor experiences with earbuds with tips before so not sure if this is worth a try.

Or you ask Apple for a partial refund to match the sale price, avoiding the hassle and unnecessary cost that retailers need to pass on to everybody indirectly.
I doubt Apple would match the price from Amazon but I sure would try

Let's be really honest. There is no difference between the AirPods Max Lightning and USB C other than which cable you use. And the USB C version should not be more than $399. Anyone willing to pay more is just ripping themselves off.

I was looking for literally ANY excuse to replace my Lightning Maxes with the new ones just to get rid of my last Lightning device… and I couldn’t find one 😂. That these are basically still 2020 technology at the $550 price point is insane.

The difference is one has been discontinued. They are trying to get rid of them. Clearly unless you’re allergic to the Lightning port it’s the better choice

The lampshade iMac has been discontinued. The 2020 AirPods Max has not. Changing a port and otherwise not updating the internals is not discontinuing anything. It just means you grab a different cable.

I have some USB C devices and still many lightning. I have resisted upgrading my iPhone 14 Pro Max until Apple makes a compelling reason (which didn't happen with the 15 or 16). I don't need to rush all my devices to USB C.

In fact BOTH of my Apple Duo chargers for iPhone/AirPods/Watch still use a USB C to Lightning Cable.

They came out with a new model and discontinued the old one, regardless of how slight the changes are. A good example is the iMac. The M1 iMac is discontinued but now they have the M4 version. It’s the exact same iMac with a different SOC.

They cannot or they don’t want to sell Lightning AirPods Max at the Apple Store. There’s a bunch of them out there and they want to get them sold quickly as possible before the value goes down. Even if they can sell them at cost, it means they don’t lose money. Sometimes you can get a great deal buying products that are still good, but have been replaced by a newer model.

Yeah. I'm not going to buy the argument that an M1 and an M4 Mac are equivalent except the SOC in the same way the AirPods Max models due to a port / cable change are the same. The SOC change IS a substantial upgrade that warrants considering it a new model. The port is not. You're going to have a hard time finding people who agree with that mindset. By the same token I'm sure the Apple Watch Ultra 2 in Satin Black is a 'new model' because they changed the color.

If you live near an Apple store, you can try on the Demo version. It's wiped clean with alcohol wipes by the staff after every try.
Did that with the new AP4 ANC to learn that it fits one ear but not the other. The APP2 fits well but it depends on the tips used (foam is better) and the person's ears.
It's a good deal for the APP2 to get a spare but will wait until next year for the rumoured new APP3 instead.

I’m guessing that any BF deals on iPhone 16.x are going to be non-existent?

Even when reports on sales aren’t looking that great—you’d think that’d be a good time for a BF sale to move product.

Costco has older stock Ultra2's that still have the SpO2 sensors for $699.

UPDATE: I ordered one and just got it. You may want to skip this deal unless you really want the SpO2 sensor and are willing to take a chance.

It's definitely old stock and has old stock issues. The battery was completely zeroed out. I'm charging it up right now and I'm going to get an idea of if the battery has been degraded by long storage.

Anyone leery of buying a Mac Mini on Amazon?
I wonder if something goes wrong and I need to bring it to BestBuy or The Apple Store is where I bought it might affect the service I receive? Also, the extra shipping required vs walking into a store to buy one, possible shipping damages. Dumb or not?
Speaking of which, I can get $115 trade in value from The Apple Store which would equalize the price but I was thinking of keeping my current 2018 Intel Mini as a back up should I need to bring the new Mini in for repairs.
