I read that the Apple Black Friday is pretty much the education discount site wide to regular users. Is that true, or is there something else more besides that?

I am debating to wait till then to get a MBP 15/17.

That's what I've heard too. It can't hurt to wait until that point.

if your gonna wait 19 days, you might as well wait until the next generation comes out....honestly I can't stand these who just wait.....*sarcasm off*

The OP wants a sale price. You can't stand people that want to save $100+? I guess if mommy or daddy is buying it wouldn't make much difference, right?

Seriously, waiting not even three weeks for a 100 dollar discount isn't really "just waiting". What if he would have said that he wanted to buy it in 19 days, because that's when he's getting his money? Would you have been as sarcastic?

Or maybe you're just one of those people who buy everything on credit, or have a very nice and well payed job and have forgotten or never known what it's like for most of us...

Not everyone is addicted to instant gratification ... some of us are

Mature adults
Have the ability to think & reason
Know what we want
Don't rely on others for validation

And you?

That is all it is. They also discount software like iWork. I don't think there was a time window, just have to purchase on Black Friday.

I'd like to buy the discounted iWork. That's something I didn't consider but I'll look out for.

If you knew I was being so sarcastic you had to have known I wasn't attacking the OP so what the **** is the need for this response?

I am really the only person who has ever seen people say "well if you gonna wait you may as well wait for the 2016 model blah blah blah" ? Thats who I was poking fun at, not the OP

Could you then get an education discount on top of that?

Any discount on iPhones? My upgrade eligibility is next week... That would be pretty good timing if I got a sweet deal.

iPhones are never discounted, aside from your standard upgrade
