Just started happening today :(

Fresh batteries, no other BT devices close by, it's sitting about 2 ft from the iMac - nothing has been messed with.

I've tried re-pairing, still the same. Some sort of master reset I can do on the keyboard? Or is it just kaput?

Thanks!
Monty

Did you make sure the batteries are installed in the right direction? Did you turn the keyboard on? Is your iMac's Bluetooth turned on?

Intermittent disconnects may be caused by the following:

- Re-pairing needed (you've done it)
- Low batteries (but you have fresh batteries)
- Apple Aluminum Keyboard firmware upgrade not applied
- Interference with other 2.4GHz appliances (Bluetooth frequency hopping technology can generally cope with this well) - do other BT devices work well?
- Distance between the bluetooth connected devices (you said this is not a problem)
- Hardware failure in one of the bluetooth connected devices.

You may try to reset your iMac's SMC, but in case of bluetooth keyboards, it should not matter much, only in case of keyboard and mouse related sleep/resume problems.

You should try your keyboard with other machines, and your iMac with a different keyboard, this should help pinpointing the problem.
