iPod touch Apple BTS and iPod Touch 4G

Hello, I've just been browsing the Buyer's Guide and its quite obvious that the touch will be updated soon, very probably within the next 4 months, before the Apple BTS promotion ends. Also, looking at the Buyer's Guide, I don't think that the touch has even been updated during the period of the BTS promotion?

So what do you think will happen now?

1. Apple updates in next 4 months, allows BTS buyers to purchase updated touch.

2. Apple updates in next 4 months, only allows BTS buyers to buy 3G (for stock clearing)

3. Apple updates after BTS is over.

What do you guys think?

#3. Virtually guaranteed. BTS is intended to clear out the old models prior to release of the new.

I totally screwed up...

I forgot about this promotion from last year and bought a macbook pro 3 weeks ago. I would have waited had I known this was coming. The only iPod I have is an 8G nano (fatty).
