Apple Bumper on 4S?

My friend is giving me his brand new Apple Bumper he got last yr during the free bumper giveaway. Will it fit my 4S? Ive been getting mixed answers.

if its the original one before the revised addition made for the verizon phone, it will fit, BUT it covers the mute button slightly...still functional but a little off

what map said.. if it's an earlier one, it's nothing a steady hand and a blade cant clean up.

Supposedly it doesn't. I had the replacement bumper that apple gave after release of the Iphone 4 too. When I bought the 4s, I just brought the unopened bumper to them and told them I wanted to update to the newer one. They went ahead and did it. They had to open the newer one in front of me for whatever reason.
