Hi,
Just had a few questions and wondering if anyone else had comments/clarifications they could add or a similar experience.
So I have an iPhone 6s 128GB; I have been having battery drain issues since 12/2017 and around this time started reading about battery throttling in iPhone's; I contacted Apple Support Chat at this time on around 12/23/17 and Apple CSR went through normal troubleshooting; Check for updates, reset all settings/reset network settings, hard restart, then eventually recommended factory reset through iTunes. I asked for a battery diagnostic which they then proceeded with remotely, which came back with normal results (battery cycles, wear) all normal. So I was told I did not quality for a battery replacement as the battery diagnostic didn't fail, and would have to pay the newly reduced price for CAN of $35 for replacement ~ I declined at this time

Moving forward to today 03/01/18, I contacted Apple Support by chat again with same questions, and was told by the Apple CSR that they didn't require doing a diagnostic of the battery, and if I am reporting any system performance issue that cannot be seen by a diagnostic result, and with my iPhone still being under 1 year Apple warranty, I can get my battery replaced for free, no diagnostic required, no questions asked. All this could be completed through either an Apple Store, AASP, or through mail-repair.
Anyone have a similar experience, or was just agent just being generous?
