Apple Card's COVID-19 Customer Assistance Program has been extended by another month, allowing cardholders who enroll in the program to defer their May payment without incurring any interest charges, per an email shared by 9to5Mac.

To enroll in the program, open the Wallet app on an iPhone or iPad, tap on the Apple Card, tap on the black circle with three dots, tap on the message bubble, and send a message along the lines of "I want to enroll in the Customer Assistance Program." Confirmation of your enrollment will be sent to the email address associated with your Apple ID.

The program will prevent interest from accruing on your May statement, but any purchases will still be added to your outstanding balance. Credit bureaus will report your account as being enrolled in the Customer Assistance Program, according to Apple. Your minimum payment is not affected by payments that you skipped while you were enrolled.

The program was also available for March and April payments. Apple has a support document with more details, but it does not yet reflect the May extension.

I don’t understand this line:

The program will prevent interest from accruing on your May statement, but the amount remains part of your outstanding balance.

The amount of accrued interest is part of the balance but I don’t accrue interest? That doesn’t make sense

I’m glad they’re doing this. I wish they would up my credit limit! Lol.

I noticed they decreased my interest rate recently which was nice.

If you were already enrolled in April, will it roll over to May automatically or do you have to send another message to them to enroll again?

I think China Uncensored started with calling it the CCP virus.

Interesting, it seems that China Uncensored, NTD, and the Epoch Times all fall under the same group (NTD, which in turn is founded by Falun Gong's people). In other words, they are basically the same thing in different formats, so it makes sense that they all call it the same way.

I was asked to make a payment to keep my account current, so I paid $25. Gonna enroll again. I don’t need to but doesn’t hurt kicking the can down the road a little further.

Oh ok. I asked because they're strong on calling it the CCP Virus (I love the Epoch Times). As far as I know it's the only US based print newspaper that calls it so.
I love the Epoch times as well they cover stories no one else will and some within the military/us government I know are accurate. I found out about them during the Hong Kong protests after the CCP bombed their HQ now I call it the CCP virus too.

when I followed the steps to enroll, it says, " Sorry, but I'm not able to connect you right now. An Apple Card Specialist at Goldman Sachs can help you over the phone at 877-255-5923 "

what am I doing wrong ?

Pay it off each month or you're doing it wrong.
Not doing it wrong when they offer you the option with 0 APR! You can always paid it off when they end the promotion. Keep the cash in your saving/checking account does not hurt.

Here is what I sent via iMessage "I would like to enroll in the Customer Assistance Program for May thank you." then it gives you an option to click on.

I could be wrong but I don't think China Uncensored belong to any group. They are based on viewer donations call 50 cent army "Not the CCP 50 cent army internet troll" lol

I don't have to explain myself, and don't think I'm "doing it wrong"
However, I did make a large purchase last month, and plan to return it when the store is operating and open. If I pay off my balance, I will get a refund, and have a $3K credit balance. I am trying to avoid this.

If you pay off the balance and then return the item resulting in a negative balance, you will have a “credit” essentially. If after a few months you still have a negative balance, they cut you a check.
