This has happened twice now.

I’m seeing transactions on my statement from Goldman Sachs that aren’t listed in Wallet app.

In other words, wallet app is missing transactions that are supposed to be listed when you make a transaction. They only appeared on my statement. I messaged apple and they said the transaction is correct and wouldn’t help me further.

Disappointing. I guess I need to start saving receipts to compare to my statements instead of relying on Wallet app.

100% correct. It was a purchase from a raceway.

Known issue, especially when using Apple Pay with a mobile app. 76 is notorious for this unless you use the NFC transponder on the pump or Ti card.

Anecdotally, Exxon/Mobile and Chevron do not have this issue.

EDIT: Contact Goldman, notify them of the transaction(s) affected so they can file a trouble ticket. Don’t expect overnight success but they will follow up after a week or so.

I had a gas purchase hold charge of $100 from February 2021 randomly pop up on my account in August of this year. I can't see the charge but it's in my balance. I can't pay it either, not that I'd want to anyway. Goldman Sachs say they know it's an error but it's taking a while to get resolved.

Anecdotally, I spoke with GS about this a few weeks ago, their escalation dept called me to follow-up on an earlier case I reported (same issue). The rep said it's a "known issue" with gas stations, it has something to do with MasterCard and some of the authorization holds. The balance thing will eventually get worked out, they'll refer you to the statement. In the end, GS will resolve it or at least fix it.

If experience has taught me anything, if you purchase gasoline through the station's respective app with Apple Pay, or with the Ti card, you will often get less shenanigans with authorizations, holds, etc.

76: Ti card or NFC/Apple Pay at the pump itself, no issues. However, the 76 app always-and-consistently disappears transactions on me, lots of disappearing/reappearing. Writing 76 about it was akin to pounding sand.

Chevron & Shell: Zero issues at pump or with app. Chevron has the best app of all of them ( Watch enabled!).

Exxon/Mobile: Often the pumps won't take NFC or app. Lots of inconsistencies, sometimes doesn't work. Really depends on the station.

ARCO: I have not tried ARCO (yet) with it, I've heard nothing bad though.

Personally, I just wish Costco took MasterCard. :-(
