Through September 15, you can get 5% Daily Cash when you use the Apple Card via Apple Pay to purchase gas at Exxon and Mobil stations across the United States.

The cash-back offer is also available at qualifying ChargePoint stations for electric vehicles.

5% Daily Cash is limited to $500 in combined Exxon, Mobil, and ChargePoint purchases, meaning that the maximum cash back you can receive from this offer is $25.

Ordinarily, the Apple Card offers 3% Daily Cash for Exxon, Mobil, and ChargePoint purchases, which is already above the standard 2% Daily Cash that is offered for most purchases made with the Apple Card via Apple Pay.

When using the physical Apple Card, Daily Cash is limited to 1%, so make sure to use the digital version in your iPhone's Wallet app.

The "summer road trip" promotion began on August 15.

Apple's credit card remains available in the U.S. only.

At a few airports recently I’ve seen a lot of Apple Pay promotions. The restaurants offered 50% off on Coca Cola products if you use Apple Pay.

Gas goes for about $2.50 to over $5.00 a gallon, depending on location. A tank holds from about 10 gallons to maybe 20 gallons or more, depending on the vehicle.

Out of curiosity, how much does half a tank of gas cost over there? (None U.S resident). I realise costs my vary a lot across states.

Fuel is here is $2.98ish and my vehicle holds 19 gallons if completely empty. Usually cost between $40-50 for me to fill. I'm often filling 4-6 5-gallon cans, too, but not adding that in.

There are no Exxon or Mobil stations within a hundred miles of me.

Pretty sure Exxon and Mobile require an account/app as well. So many unnecessary steps and data harvesting for a couple bucks at most.

Thanks for nothing Apple. I get 5% back from my AAA Visa on gasoline purchases from any supplier, up to a maximum of $350 back per calendar year.

It varies by area and even within an area. I was in San Diego last week and saw it for as cheap as $4.29 a gallon and as high as $5.99. Where I am in Virginia it is $3.19 in my town, but $2.99 closer to the interstate and as low as $2.79 in parts of Roanoke.

Gas is typically between $2.75 and $4 a gallon currently. Tank can be anywhere between 7 and 25 gallons going up to 50 for big pickup trucks and SUV's.

The games these companies play is kind of ridiculous. I use a Fidelity investor card and get 2% cash back on everything. Since I put almost everything on the card, I am pretty sure I come out ahead in the end. And I don’t have to keep track of the promos of the month or the quarter on multiple cards.

They should do any place that is categorized as a gas station. Here in upstate NY we have very few corporate or franchised Exxon or Mobil stations, and the closest ones are not worth the drive for an extra 2%

Usually you can pay at the pump without their app. I can't remember the last time I saw one that didn't have an Apple Pay sticker.

But I use their app so I can earn points. I have Apple Pay set as the default.

As many people pointed out Exxon is more expensive than generic gas from Sam’s club or Costco. If it’s all about saving pennies this isn’t it.

My backup car is gasoline powered and I actually buy more expensive gas for it so this would be a good deal but the Exxon station near me doesn’t have contactless payment. In my area inserting your card into a pump is asking for trouble. I have a Chevron nearby that has contactless and Discover is currently giving 5% cashback on all gas and EV charging

The Mobile station closet to me will not take my Apple Card through Apple Pay or the physical titanium card. Any other card through Apple Pay works, any other physical card works... Doesn't matter. That location is $4.60/gal right now. Costco that is half-way between home and work is $3.87/gal. Not paying 20% more for 5% back, lol.

To whoever is asking, I drive a Mid-Size sedan, that has a ~16gal tank (60L) so half a tank is around $30-$32 lately.

Can’t wait until a real bank takes over. You know, one that knows how to handle regular banking like normal banks do, unlike Goldman Sachs.
