Hi Guys,

I'm James. I've just bought my first MacBook Pro and was wondering what checks should be done to it as to get the most out of the 6days apple care left on it.

It is an early 2011 Macbook Pro, I7 Q/C 2.0ghz, 4gb ram, standard screen.

I was told it had 6 months Apple care left on it when I bought it on eBay however it is showing as expiring Feb 28th. I want to make sure everything is tip top before it runs out!

Thanks in advance!

A couple things I can think of...

Do a command-r boot to recovery and from there use Disk Utility to do a repair disk and see if there are unfixable disk errors reported.

Then run the Apple Hardware Test and see if that reports anything wrong.
