iPad Apple care issue at store pick up

Ordered online at 306 got iPad air with Apple Care and then at 536 got email that was ready. Then went to store at 10 to pick up and they said iPad was ready but issues with Apple Care and would have to come back later in the day and sign for it. Said they are having issues system wide.

Did anyone else have issues with getting iPad Air Apple Care?

couldn't u just take it and then add apple care to it later on? don't you have 30 days from purchase date

No since I already purchased when ordered online. Said need to come back within a couple days. I asked if could just call the 1800 number and said had to come in and sign.
