iPhone 13 Pro Apple Care+ or Apple Care+ with Theft Protection

Hi Folks. I've only bought Apple Care once, for my Apple Watch 5 because it was my first and this device would be exposed to the elements every single day. I pre-ordered my iPhone 13 Pro but didn't add Apple Care at check out. Is it worth it to go to the store to add it later on? What about the theft protection? Isn't this handled by a lot of credit cards?

I get AppleCare for all my iPhones, and added theft protection this year for my kid’s phone, but not for the adults in my house.
