Apple care or insurance from carrier?

I recently bought an iphone 4 and I do not know weather or not to get apple care or insurance with my provider. I figure apple care will be less expensive but does it cover all the same things?

The big issues with Apple Care is that it will not cover user damage or theft. Since you didn't mention your provider, we can't really tell if Apple Care is better or not.

is it really a square trade? apple care 69.99 and insurance with provider somewhere around 10.99 a month

I thought Verizon's insurance was horrendous. There's a $169 deductable. Then there's 24 months of whatever fee they charge. Between fees and deductable, I'd spend more than $500 over the life of the phone just for insurance. Not worth it.

There are businesses that repair broken iPhones. Rear glass is maybe a $70 repair, if I read correctly. Front glass is quite a bit more. Even so, I can replace all the glass for less than Verizon's insurance.
