Apple Care question...

Hello all,

Bought my 21.5 iMac about 2 weeks ago. LOVE IT!
My question is:
1) Is Apple Care something I need?
2) How long do I have before I can not get the Apple Care on this machine( Is there a time limit)?

One year from the date of purchase of your Mac.
