Apple Care question

Hey guys, do I have to purchase Apple Care with my laptop, or can I purchase it at a later date before my laptop is no longer under warranty?

I really don't want to put down 200+ plus dollars extra the day that I buy my laptop, but I would like an extended warranty that will last me through the rest of college (hopefully, another 3 years, lol).

Just buy it before the 1 year anniversary of your purchase - assuming you bought new.

You can buy it anytime before a year gets over. I just did it on my 11th month.

I bought it 2 days before my original 1 year warranty expired, and had no problems.

By the way, if you're a student, you can get an education discount on AppleCare, too. I think mine wound up being $188.

Applecare is even cheaper than edu. discount on ebay sometimes.
