Apple Care+ vs. Belkin Shield and screen protector

$99 for Apple Care + with two $50 replacements over 2 years or $30 plus however much a screen protector costs to protect your new iPad.

I'm thinking for me it's a little silly to spend $60+ to baby and protect my pad when I can spend $99 and get 2 replacements. I'm also the guy who sells every year to upgrade and I think the math probably still works out in apple care+ favor.

Problem is AppleCare only covers accidental damage, not cosmetic damage. I for one would hate having a scratch on a fully functional iPad. But that's just me.

I have a Marware Microshell back cover and the Apple Smart Cover. And I have a Genius appointment today at 4pm to get Applecare+ too. Can't be too careful these days...

With their accidental replacement policy, you can always have damage beyond cosmetic.
