Carrier Apple care with AT&T next?

Just wondering if there was much of a difference between the standard year warantee and the 1st year of Apple care?

I signed up for the 12 month cycle for at&t next and trying to decide if apple care is even worth it if I'm just upgrading to a new phone every 12 months on the program.

AppleCare covers accidents with a $99 deductible ($29 if it's just the screen). I am on a similar plan with Verizon and trying to decide if AppleCare would be worth it.

On NEXT and evaluating as well. Think accidental breakage/accidental liquid is big one.

You can get Apple Care prorated when you upgrade next year.

Yes this is a good reminder. I've done this a couple times now and gotten the refund on the unused portion. Correct me if I'm wrong but you just get the unused portion refunded and have to buy the new one. They won't roll it over, which makes sense. Have to make the break somewhere.

Would be nice to do the apple upgrade program to include it seamlessly, but it still have some kinks and appears preorders did not go so well.

Yeah. I've usually gotten ~ $43 back each year when I cancel apple care to rebuy. They just send you a check
