Apple Care without the Plus?

Several years ago, I was told by an Genius rep at Apple that I can get Apple Care without accidental damage protection. The only way you could do this was directly by calling Apple. The price was also significantly cheaper than the full Apple Care + with accidental damage protection.

Does anyone know if this plan is still around?

I don't know it you can still get it or not, in the past it was $99 for just applecare for the iPhone.

I paid $79 several years ago...and that was in Canadian funds.
