That's not always the case. I purchased my iPhone 5's AC+ over the phone without ever going to the Apple Store.

I didn't get anything like that. If they refused service to me, I'll show them the physical receipt they sent me. While you are correct about them wanting you to go to the store, they understand if you can't get to an Apple Store, especially if there's not one in your state.

Absolutely. I've added Apple care over the phone, one rep said no, while the next said no problem.

You can purchase an apple care plan up until the provided limited warranty expires, that's a year folks.

And yes,you can also purchase the above by merely calling the support line.

Not on iPhones and iPads. You have 30 days from purchase date to get AC+. AppleCare itself is no longer available for iPhones and iPads.

Yes, seeing AppleCare+ is the price as the old AppleCare.

AC+ was changed when the 4S came out. I guess Apple realized they could charge for replacing a cracked screen instead of just swapping out one freebie.

AppleCare+ is a good product.....but..........you cannot transfer it to your next product as you could with regular AppleCare.

This is usually the case. While I don't bother with AppleCare on my iDevices, I buy it for all my Apple computers. It's a very good way to insure you are covered in the event of a failure beyond the one year warranty.

AppleCare is a really great service when it comes time to use it. They run a very good operation.
