Ok...here is my story.

I know my MacBook Pro was coming up on a year old so I bought a Apple Care on ebay. Then I go to try and activate the Apple Care and find out I was a few weeks to late.... now what?

I have a perfectly good Apple Care and no way to use it. Ideas?

Peace

Sell it on eBay or Craig's List.

Unfortunately, you are not eligible for the Marketplace here. Read the FAQ for the why's.

You can try calling to Apple and ask if they could be nice and let you use your code anyway. If they won't let you, then you have to sell it on eBay as for example.

what are you going to do now regarding your warranty? i just bought a 13 mbp last week.

i didnt get apple care yet. im glad i read your situation. i will be sure to activate mines within the last month...

I guess being a member for as long as I have doesn't count for much....

Peace

Honestly considering the price you can get Applecare on Ebay and knowing that you have advantages to have it and that it does not make any difference if you buy and activate it on the first day or the last day, I don't understand why people wait till the last day to buy it...

Over the cost of a macbook a 100$ more is nothing if you know that you are good warranty wise for 3 years.

Nothing to do with how long... has to do with number of posts. Gotta have 250 to use the Marketplace. You currently have 70...

I understand that but I don't hang around just to get my thread count up.

If I have questions I search and see if I can find the answer if not then I ask a question.

Apple is the BOMB!:apple:

They are going to take my Apple Care. That is one of the reasons I am a Mac fan!!!!!:D

Peace

I noticed that, too. 250 posts gets you there!

Call AppleCare and let them know your situation; you never know :D

Good luck!

Habitus :apple:

I did... and they said they would take care of it... so all is well.

KUDOS to Apple!!

wow you are lucky! i have a friend who did this i wonder if she can do the same

No luck. You have up to one year from the time you register your Mac to buy Apple Care. I was a couple of weeks late so they gave me some grace.

Try that with Dell....lol

Did you at least get the box for the AppleCare? How did they go about this. I am interested. Did you have to show them any proof that you bought this, ie; receipt.. ?

All Apple cares about is the number. They have all numbers in there system so no worries.

Much cheaper on ebay than Apple.

Just got my confirmation email saying all is well.:D They are also sending me a hard copy of the registration.

Again... Thanks Apple!
Peace
