Apple CarPlay will not play music stored on my iPhone after iOS 26 update

I have a lot of music stored on my iPhone. I do not use Apple Music.
When using Apple Car Play after the update I get a spinning disc in the upper right part of the screen, but no music plays.
If I start playing a song on my phone and then connect to Apple Car Play the songs plays but when it goes to the next song I get the spinning disc. Podcasts play just fine. I have an iPhone 15. My cars is 2025 Honda CRV.
Any thoughts
