Hey,

I'm considering buying one of Apple's silicone cases for the iPhone 7 Plus when it comes out, as I find most third-party cases to be ugly or too thick for my liking. I just wanted to know if anyone here has knowledge of their durability—would one last me, say, a year?

I only drop my phone a few times per product cycle, so I'm not too worried about the case's resistance.

If anyone could help me out, I'd really appreciate it.

They're fine. A nice texture. Good grippiness factor.

Lots of thinner cases out there (obviously with less protection).

If you want more protection, get a RhinoShield PlayProof or SolidSuit. Similar size but far superior protection.

I've had an Apple silicon case on my 6s since receiving it. It still looks new, has great hand-feel, and is pretty protective. I've dropped my phone ~5 times, the hardest surface being my hardwood floor. There are tougher cases, for sure.
