Apple plans to hold a "Mindful Month" Apple Watch Activity Challenge on Friday, October 10. Mindful Month brings awareness to mental health, self care, meditation, and mindfulness.

On October 10th, let's take some time to appreciate all the ways we can care for ourselves and each other. Record 10 minutes of mindfulness or meditation with any app that adds mindful minutes to Health to get this award.
Like all of the Apple Watch Activity Challenges, the Mindful Month event will come with animated stickers that can be used in the Messages app.

Mindful Month is a relatively new addition to the Apple Watch Activity Challenge lineup, with Apple first introducing it last year. Apple's last Activity Challenge was held in August and highlighted National Park Day.

using the Breathe app in Mindfulness helps to increases your HRV.
i got this tip from Athyltic.
after i read about the connection between deep breathing exercise and heart rate variability, i have been incorporating 5 minutes of deep breathing in the early morning just after i get up and while the house is still quiet.
very nice way to start the day, with a balanced awareness, that actually complements and works well with any kind of training routine.

Agree, this stuff is just PR to fool sites like this to run promotions for Apple products.
 
I’m happy some people do care. But I notice that most didn’t get the point. If everything is so important, nothing is. If everything needs to be a special month, nothing needs a special month. Or we dont have enough months to go around.
 
Bring back the original breathe functionality on my watch first. I used to get notifications to breathe when anxiety levels rose, but that seems to have gone (or am I missing something as the iphone and watch settings have become a complete mess if you ask me).

Fine if you want this stuff, but when being asked to rate how I feel very first thing in the morning the only reasonable reply is 'sod off and mind your own business'.

Hmm… The Mindful *Month* is being held on only ONE day! 😂

They should add another ring or indicator (e.g., a thin blue bar) and track mindful minutes on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis — on the Watch itself.
