Apple Charge

Hey!

I ordered another 3GS from Apple on the 23rd, and they had a pending charge on my account for the $299+tax.

I looked today, and it doesn't even list Apple as a charge. My 3GS still shows "Not Yet Shipped."

Should I worry that they are going to cancel my order, or is this typical?

It's typical. They authorized your card, the auth expired, but they'll push the charge through when they ship it. I've seen it several times from many companies.

This happened to me too. The charge went through when my package arrived though.

Happened to me. They charge as they ship. They put a hold on the money to ensure its there.

It is normal. Almost all online stores pre authorize your card for the sale amount. Sometimes the the order doesn't ship soon enough and the authorization expires. When I preordered Apple didn't charge my card until after it was delivered.
