Hey everyone, I'm just wondering if I should wait until either the phone ships, or maybe just give them a call because I was charged the $216.xx twice. Has anyone else had this happen in the past with pre-orders? Thanks.

One of them might be an authorization and the other from the bank/card. Apple will properly charge the card once the phone ships. If the two charges remain a few days after you get your phone, give them a call.

I ordered from Verizon and haven't been charged at all. I might take twice at this point.

The question I'd wonder is if they were both at the same time or not?

If both at the same time it's likely an error.

If they are days apart it could just be the auth and then actual charge when shipped.

Although pre authorizations are good for 72 hours so I'm not sure why they wouldn't have posted against the first one rather then charge again.

I'd call and inquire.

Personally I wouldn't wait.
But then again in use Amex for things like pre-orders.
When I ordered the IP4 ATT double charge me. It was four transactions, 2 authorizations and two charges. One set was cancelled.
There was only 1 email confirmation from ATT.
I don't trust any "extra" charges from any company.

If you mess with it before your phone ships you may end up not getting any phone at all. I say wait. If you're lucky you'll get two phones and can sell the second one for more than you are charged. ;-)
