Apple cinema 24" - yellow tint?

I am planning on buying someones used Apple cinema 24". With a few articles and posts I read about late iMacs having display issues I got a little nervous. Now I am unsure if the 24" cinema displays were also affected, and if I may run into one that has the yellow tint on the corner of the screen... am I just paranoid or is this something I should watch out for because it's a known issue?

If you feel like blasting me to pieces because I haven't done my legwork in google... go ahead

No yellow tint here, but I calibrated my monitor as soon as I got it, I just calibrated it again and it's even better this time. All panels' color profiles vary, but for reference, you guys can try out my ICC profile, it was calibrated with my eye-one display 2.

I was worried about the exact same thing but mine was/is flawless.

Can you go look at it before purchasing?

Unfortunately, I had to go through 3 exchanges until the fourth monitor was acceptable. Each time, the genius agreed that there were "patches" of dirty brown sections on the monitor. It was incredibly frustrating.

Interestingly, I ordered a second monitor from Apple's refurbished store and it is perfect. Clean, bright white with no discoloration. If fact, it's so nice, now my first ACD looks a little yellow/dingy (over the whole screen...not in sections) next to this one. My guess is that the panels come from different manufacturers.

I'm so sick of visiting the Apple store I'm just going to live with what I have. The Apple Geniuses (Genui?) have been pretty great and cooperative though.

So, the refurb, at least, looks amazing! The other ACD I have (brand new out of the box) looks decent. Not great, just decent.

Yup, I can see it before I purchase it. So I guess I shouldn't be that worried... but then again the next post down scares me with the visits to the genius bar

hi , already get one with yellowish tinge from half to bottom. not quite yellow i can say more browny.. anyway fresh arrived second one is decent .. same kind of tint but not so obvious. the factory profile it was awfull .. feels kinda green and cold. but soon i get calibrated everything goes well. i use spider 3 & data color software (gamma 2.2 / white point D65 ) here's mine .
