My question is, if that would be a compatible setup? I'd love to buy a 27 TB Display, but I really really can not justify spending that much on a monitor. I am not anyone who needs a great monitor, I would just like something that looks good and displays my content larger than my Early 2011 15" MBP does. Sooooo...does it work? And any reasons I should't get the 23" one?

No reason it wont work. You'll need a mini DisplayPort to DVI adaptor to use it, you can get either an Apple branded one or a third party one (they work just as well).

I've gotten a lot of enjoyment out of my 27" hp monitor.
It was $350 when new, is 1920x1080, and is huge.

I wanted more screen real estate, and it was a happy balance of factors.
They also make a 23 and a 25 inch, i believe.

You just need the right adapter to go to VGA (or DVI).

Of course, the Apple monitors are amazing. A 23" can be found for ~200 if you're patient enough to search.
You'd still need the right adapter.
