Is this monitor worth it if I can get it for sub-$150?

Not worth it. Don't get me wrong, they are nice, but for you to be able to use it on anything but an ADC-capable machine you need a $100 adapter. If it comes with the adapter, worth it. I just picked up a 22" model for free and I have machines with ADC. They are not bad, but once you start having to spend $250 to use it in a modern environment you can do better with something new.
