Apple Cinema Display 27" Buy or Wait?

The buyer's guide says 'do not buy', but the last two updates have each taken around 600 days.

It would be nice to have a single thunderbolt connection driving both the display and the webcam and port extensions. It would be even nicer if they replace the some of the USB2.0 ports with thunderbolt, or USB3.0 in the future. Other than that, I don't really see what an upgrade can do.

What does everyone think?

Tough call. I could see Apple upgrading the ACD for Thunderbolt. Then again, its Apple so I could see them forgoing the update.

Because it uses a high quality panel. Comparable models will all cost around the same.

I'd imagine they'd upgrade to FaceTime HD just as they did with the new iMacs and Macbook Pros.
