Just hoping maybe someone can help before I unload this unit for parts. Purchased a A1082 on eBay about a year ago. Recently started giving me the "short short long" blinking light and the bottom half of the screen would get dimmer after the monitor was turned on. After reading a lot of similar stories I decided to replace the inverter board.
Bought an inverter board on eBay and swapped it out. Now I have no power to anything (Monitor or USB ports). Determined with a voltmeter that I do have voltage to the main board, but once the inverter load is connected there's no voltage. Have a second power supply, but that didn't make any difference.
If I replace the old inverter board it's the same issue, no power once the board is connected. Not sure what could have happened. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated or if anyone has the schematics that would be great too.
