Aside form the sleek design, is the Cinema Display really any better than Samsung/LG LED screens that can be had for a third of the price?

I have a late model Samsung LED (Syncmaster PX2370), and compared to the current ACD, I see no benefit in paying more for it in terms of which one has better image quality. I personally think the samsung looks better.

But in terms of design and looks, plus the integrated MagSafe, it might be appealing to some. I just cannot justify the $900. Even at the refurbished price it's too expensive for me.

paying for a macbook or any actual mac computer is one thing.....cinema displays is another. i would much rather go witha nice LG flat panel cinema display for half the price then the apple cinema display.
