Putting the price aside, I wanted to give some honest thoughts on the Clear Case. Quick background - I hate cases, never had one on ANY iPhone until they went all glass with the 8 last year. Wanted one on my XR this year so was excited Apple were making one, it figures they worked out how to make a decent clear one.

Reasons:
- it’s solid without actually being hard
- it’s smooth but not slippy, and easy to grip but not sticky
- no manufacturing lines etc. anywhere
- it fits tightly to the phone so dust doesn’t get stuck under then inside edge of it (some can get stuck around it but not inside so you can easily wipe off)
- thin and light
- bottom cut out
- it is actually very clear, important as what’s the point in buying a beautiful phone and covering it up.

Only 2 things I don’t like - 1) ultimately, it’s still a case, 2) the Vibration/Silent switch is a little harder to switch than I would like.

If you can, you should update your thread to see if it ever has any ‘yellowing’ issues in the future. Someone else mentioned it was surprisingly well constructed versus the what the pictures depict.

I will do, also wondering how “scratch resistant” it really is.

It isn’t. If you had read my thread you’d know. I got it yesterday and it immediately got scratches all over it just from rubbing it with a microfiber cloth to remove fingerprints. Yes, it algo gets quite oily very quickly.

No scratches on mine yet, you must have unknowingly caught it on something.

They’re only visible under certain lighting conditons. But that’s not even the worst, it gets smudges and fingerprints all over.

Can’t imagine a clear case getting fingerprints and smudges that’s just unbelievable /S

Put the 1800 lumens LED and jewelers loupe away and look at the front of the iPhone that’s where all the action is. /S again.
