What’s up all.
Apple clear case. $40.
I picked up the spigen ultra hybrid and the liquid crystal cases and they arrived Sunday. Total of $25. I wanted to see the difference. My concern is yellowing. The ultra hybrid is very nice and has solid protection. Very clear also.
I will assume the spigen yellows over time however I wanted to connect with y’all that maybe had the Apple clear case for a while. Does it yellow by chance? I can always pick up a new spigen for $12 but don’t want to keep reordering if I don’t have to.

I got those too! My clear case for my xs max lasted the full year. I think these will be fine as well.

Spigen is quite a soft case but pretty clear - I’m trying the 11 case on an X-RAY as the moment.

The apple case is much stiffer plastic so will feel different in the hand. I haven’t tried one for any length of time but if I get bored with the spigen I might try one. Yes they’re expensive but they have a good return policy and I tend to buy 4-5 cheap ones in the hunt for the elusive ‘perfect’ clear case - so if the apple one is good that’d actually be about on budget :)

Having said that - I think all/most third party cases will yellow over time. But if they’re $8 you can afford to replace a few times and they’re still pretty cheap

I’d go Spigen just based on the full coverage for bottom of phone. You can buy three for the price of OEM if it does yellow.

Actually not a fan of full bottom coverage on cases with the new gestures. Having bottom corner coverage but a 'cutout' near where you swipe would be my preference. Still protects from bottom drops with the corners.

personally, i wouldn’t want the bottom band to be exposed as the stainless steel band scratches like no other.

I have had the Apple silicon case and the leather case and I must say that I have become a fan of the open cutout. I don’t mind if the case is hard to take off since I don’t remove cases often anyway. I was wondering if the case happens to yellow, will apple exchange it. I get a small discount through my company ..it’s $35 but i would rather pay $35 once for a solid case that doesn’t yellow
