The Apple store in the Pallisades Center Mall in NY is closing for renovations from June 15 to July 2. That store gets huge volumes of traffic. I am amazed it is going to be closed during the launch of the new iPhone. I guess it's good for the other local stores but man that has to suck if you were hoping to order and pick up there.

My local store was closed for the 2nd gen iphone launch due to construction but I believe they opened it for that day in a limited capacity.

I guess the difference is, now you can just order online and have it shipped.

Yah i noticed that too. I think the renovations were planned a long time ago. But seems like pretty bad timing.
