Apple.com says MAX RAM is 4gb and OWC says its 8gb

Who do i trust because id really like to get the most ram I can, I have a 2010 white unibody macbook

The 2010 MB can take up to 8GB RAM. Why Apple only lists 4GB is a bit beyond me, as the chipset in that MB supports 8GB. Like the 2011 MBPs support up to 16GB.

I think so but I couldn't see any review about the white macbook, just MBPs.
