For the longest time I have been trying to find a security camera that will send its footage to my in-house Mac-Mini that I currently only use as a file server. All I can find is overpriced junk that wants you to send the footage to their servers so it can be viewed on the cloud. I want to set up one or two simple cameras that I would expect would be more like simple old school video conferencing cameras, under $50 each or perhaps $100 for network or wireless, that will save its footage on my Mac without needing third party involvement of any kind. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this, what cameras and/or software is needed to do this, without paying threw the nose?
