When you guys make a appt. to go to the apple store do you take precautions of personal items on your hard drive. Im not talking about anything illegal. just thing you don't want anyone else seeing.

OP when dealing with the security of my information...
I keep a small hard drive with a fresh copy of the OS and some utilities like tech tool 5, pixel check etc so I can swap in the drive and reproduce the issue. I also do an extended hardware test (sometimes) to flush the ram, though leaving the modules without power long enough should be good enough.

My previous method was to clone the drive to an external 3.5 and do a 3 pass security erase followed by a clean install, but that was a major waste of time.
