Apple confirmation email = pre order went through?

I got a confirmation email from apple saying to come to the store on the 24th, however it's showing up as $599

I'm guessing this is just because of AT&Ts servers not working, but my question is, does this email mean my pre order went through and the phone will be there for me on launch day?

Sorry if this has been asked, I'm just trying to end this nightmare and have some peace of mind

Pre-order = you placed an order to be shipped to you.

Reservation = you've asked Apple to reserve an iPhone for you in their store, for you to go in there and pick up. It's not an actual order.

It sounds like your reservation went through. When you go to the store and go through the process of paying for it, you will be charged the correct price.
