Apple confirmed to Crucial - Quad accepts 16GB

I enquired to Crucial.com/uk about the stability of a Quad running more than the supported 8GB by Apple... The Crucial representative seemed to be confused about the fact that Apple only offer 8GB on the Quad... as they only support what Apple support themselves

This tells us that Crucial have spoken with Apple and are selling what Apple says is compatible... 16GB on the Quad

This is Crucial not OWC and since the representative himself said he was confused about the fact Apple only said it could run with 8GB, I thought it brought something more to the table.

but 16gb means 16gb to anything, the manufacter shouldnt matter.
