So I canceled my order for my 15" MBP on Friday so that I could reorder a 17". After being pushed around reps for a while trying to change the order without canceling, the rep assured me that in order to make changes, I had to cancel. So I went ahead and did that, but, to make up for the time it took, the Apple CS rep sent me a coupon code by email.

Jump to today, I'm reordering my new machine, and I try to apply my coupon code. The code doesn't seem to work with my education discount, so I end up with the customer service department again. The apple rep ends up being unable to apply the code, but he goes ahead and simply takes the amount off my order!

I know $45 isn't really that much money next to a 17" MBP, but no other company I've ever dealt with would go out of their way to make me feel like my time is actually valuable to them.

To summarize:
A coupon code I was offered didn't work (maybe due to edu discount also being there). CS rep simply deducted amount from my order, without any questions. Thanks, Apple!
