Apple has debuted "Someday," a short YouTube film by Spike Jonze that serves as a 5+ minute ad for AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancelation.

The film stars actor Pedro Pascal, best known as the character Joel Miller in the HBO post-apocalyptic drama series The Last of Us. Pascal has also appeared in in the Netflix crime series Narcos and Disney's The Mandalorian.

AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancelation launched in September priced at $179. The model also has a Transparency mode, Adaptive Audio, and Conversation Awareness.

+ People who talk to you with their AirPods in are douchebags, and there is no amount of try-hard, celebrity-filled ads that will ever change my mind about that.
To be fair, this applies to anyone talking to anyone while having earbuds, headphones, or any other device inserted into or covering their ears.

Even in the storied days of yore, when we talked fondly of RIM, Jobs, and Razors, the Bluetooth earpiece was the universal symbol of douchehood.

Awesome!

Looks like he was trying to recreate the Fatboy Slim vibes but Pedro isn't nearly as good at dancing as Walken.

Neat idea, though.
No-one has ever blown me away as much as Walken did in that video (though how much of it was done with stunt-dancers...? ;)).

However, I still think Pedro Pascal is doing a great job here. :)

Some people may be using it as a Hearing Aid's.
With things like this and transparency mode, the need to remove your AirPods to speak with someone else, should not longer be the mandatory etiquette.

Completely agree, for accessibility reasons I have to use my phone with a screen reader.
And believe me, if you think someone wearing AirPods in public is annoying, imagine if their phone was babbling at 200+ words a minute through a text to speech voice with everything that’s on the screen top to bottom out loud.
I pretty much have AirPods in whenever I need to use my phone in public, I don’t care how other people feel about it.

I have absolutely no idea of what that was.

Not bad, but it's obvious that he misses Grogu.
At least I do when I see him without 'his kid'.

Could've been a call from the kid in the end.

I doubt that. Narcos and Mandalorian probably much bigger.

If it were any other actor in the video, I would have stopped watching after 30 seconds. Utterly forgettable. 😒 But Pedro Pascal-- the Red Viper (GoT), Javier (Narcos)--was reason enough to bear through it. So basically, the AirPod 4 cancels out the sound of poor people.😁

So when I walk up to you and say, "Spare change?" You hear "..."🙃

Instead of more fancy shmancy marketing, how about they debut all of the iOS features they promised last year?
I popped in, fully expecting this to be the first comment. And sure enough, we’re off and running out of the gate. 😂

I’m going to keep reading to see how long it takes before Tim is mentioned.
