The update adds details on all of the pavilions, session videos, 1-on-1 labs, and coding and design challenges available as part of WWDC 2021, plus it introduces sign ups for the WWDC 2021 labs.

There are also a series of new stickers available for developers to use in the Messages app. From Apple's release notes:
- Explore all WWDC21 has to offer, including pavilions, session videos, 1-on-1 labs, Coding & Design Challenges, and more.
- You can sign up for labs at WWDC21 from directly inside the Developer app, as well as receive notifications about your upcoming appointments.
- Check out all-new stickers for WWDC21.
- We've fixed bugs and added various other enhancements.
The Apple Developer app can be downloaded for free from the App Store, and it is the iPhone and iPad hub for all WWDC developer content.

The aesthetics or art style of these little Apple developer avatars are completely hideous. They look like some low-rent CGI prototypes that even the SyFy Channel would reject. There's also something subtly creepy about them. I guess they appeal to Zoomers, but I can't see how.

I'm guessing you haven't used Memojis at all? That "art style" was released back in 2018 as a new way to turn yourself into an emoji, à la Bitmoji but in 3d.

Can't say I ever got into the craze but then again, I don't fall into the Zoomer category either.

While I would agree with you on their appeal, or lack thereof, I certainly won't stand for you throwing SyFy under the bus, particularly since I thought Battlestar Galactica and The Expanse had some decent CGI. 👊

Even if they looked good, none of it actually looks relevant to... developers

with all the emoji talk and releases - i still use the handful :):(...like who has the time to find an emoji that reflects your emotions, esp unicorns and purple hair etc..like..we get it. i want to send words...not cryptic icons for other person to decipher. 🧟‍♂️ (great we have a zombie one now)

what really bothers me about them is that it looks like a Fetal Alcohol Syndrome filter applied to an xbox avatar. which is kinda insensitive.

Ohhhh, stickers from the Homer Simpson era! Oh yeah, baby, sign me up!

Can these emojis or Apple-Renderings of "People"get any more ridiculous? Jeeez.

But, I like Apple's WWDC graphics. They are comedic, yet appropriate. Not over the top, not to un-lifelike (alien?). Krogers has some hideous commercials running that have cartoon 'people' so unlikely human. Seriously.
I will give credit to the WWDC teaser graphic for clearly being a cartoon and not going into the uncanny valley of almost-realism.
